Photo of Brassica Wasabina (Chinese mustard vegetable)

Brassica juncea Wasabina - A Japanese specialty green mustard bred for its wasabi like flavour. The bright green leaves are deeply serrated with curly edges when mature. They are beautiful as a baby leaf. When picked young, this light green serrated leaf mustard brings a delicious, spicy, wasabi-like flavor to a salad mix of baby leaf greens. The large, tender, mature leaves are ruffled with curly edges and are best cooked. Very cold tolerant. Beautiful heavily frilled and ruffled leaves. Plants are slow bolting. Use for baby leaf or full size for bunching. Nice, slightly spicy and sweet flavor. Family: Brassicaceae
