Clematis montana Broughton Star- It is an unusual double-flower selection of Clematis montana with beautiful two-toned flowers. The 2 ½ inch flowers are born in abundance in mid-spring. The outer layer of petal-like sepals are pale purple-pink and the ruffle of inner sepals are a deeper purple-red. The heart of the bloom holds a tuft of yellow stamens. When this deciduous vine is in flower it becomes a sheet of pink. Familly : Ranunculaceae
