Cornus florida Cherokee Brave - Comco No. 1 is a red-bracted flowering dogwood that is commonly sold under the trade name of Cherokee Bbrave. Upright clump with tiered, horizontal branches. Flowers feature red bracts that fade to white in the center. Masses of fragrant, deep pink flowers with white centres, appear before the leaves. Drooping, glossy, green leaves are mildew resistant. Fall colour scarlet to red, almost pink. Oval, glossy, red fruit, held in clusters. Height: 30 feet - Spread: 35 feet. Family: Cornaceae
