Cucurbita pepo var. melopepo Gagat - pattypan squash or scallop squash - A specific variety of summer squash, also known as pattypan squash or scallop squash. This variety is characterized by its flattened, disc-like shape and its green turning yellow color when mature. Fruit peel is dark green, white flesh. The fruits are 4-5 cm in diameter, dark green on the outside and with juicy white flesh inside. The plant is bushy, vigorous. The fruits are disc-shaped with slightly pronounced grooves, dark green in technical ripeness, black-green, almost black in biological ripeness. The pulp is dense, crispy.
