Photo of Dierama pulcherrimum (Angel's Fishing Rod, Fairy Wand, Wandflower)
Dierama pulcherrimum - Angel's Fishing Rod, Fairy Wand, Wandflower - Also called Angel’s Fishing Rod, these are little-known plants that perform exceptionally well in regions with mild winters. Plants form a large clump of narrow, grasslike green leaves, with tall arching stems of dangling pink bells, appearing in mid summer. Excellent for cutting. Plants may be divided in early spring. Leaves are inclined to need cutting back in spring, to tidy up the clumps. Family: Iridaceae
