Forestiera pubescens - Broadleaf, deciduous, shrub, generally rounded, upright, 3 to 10 ft (0.9-3 m) tall, multi-stemmed twig, rigid and thorny, bark tan-gray.  Leaves simple, opposite or clustered, elliptic or lanceolate to ovate, 1.5-4 cm, leathery, entire or minutely toothed.  Flowers small, but generally appear before the leaves so they are noticed, yellow male flowers and green female.  Fruit elliptic, 5-8 mm, purple-black, waxy bloom. Family: Oleaceae
