Hydrangea macrophylla Dancing Snow aka Wedding Gown It typically blooms on old wood (flower buds are produced the previous fall and overwintered) in spring with repeat bloom from summer often into fall if spent flowers are regularly deadheaded. Showy, double, sterile florets droop from long but graceful peduncles arranged in an outer ring surrounding a large clump of much smaller double white florets in the center of the flower head.
