Lactuca sativa - Mixed Lettuce mesclun vegetable laitue  – red and green leaf lettuces are tender with a mildly sweet flavor. Red leaf lettuces have soft leaves that are pliable and a crunchy stem. Ruffled edges make them perfect for adding visual interest to salads and sandwiches. When washing these lettuces, separate the leaves at the bottom of the stalk, rinse to remove any dirt and dry gently between two paper towels or in a salad spinner. Tear leaves into pieces of the desired size. It comes with all green or red-tinted leaves. There isn't a taste difference between the two, so choose whichever will look best on your table.
