Photo of Malus Snowdrift (Crabapple)
Malus Snowdrift This crabapple is a rounded, deciduous tree which typically grows 15-20' tall (infrequently to 25') with a similar spread. Red buds open to slightly fragrant, single white flowers (1 3/4" diameter) in spring. Flowers are followed by masses of small, orange-red crabapples (to 3/8" diameter) which mature in the fall. The fruits are persistent and attractive to birds. Ovate, glossy, dark green leaves. Rosaceae
