Morina longifolia - An evergreen Perennial growing to 0.6 m (2ft) by 0.3 m (1ft in). It is in leaf all year, in flower from June to July. Jade green buds and white tubular florets. As the bees pollinate the flowers, they initially turn pink and then red, so by late summer it is possible to have pink, red and white flowers on the same elegant spike. The dark green, spiny-edged foliage is attractive too. Family: Morinaceae
