Phlox paniculata Brigadier - An erect herbaceous perennial to 90cm in height, with dark green, lance-shaped leaves and large terminal clusters of scented, bright orange-red flowers in summer and early autumn. Small clear magenta eye. Height: 24"-38" - Width: 12"-24". A British cultivar, and winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Introduced by Thomas Carlisle in the 1940s. Family: Polemoniaceae
