Podocarpus nivalis - An evergreen Shrub growing to 3 m (9ft) by 5 m (16ft) at a medium rate. It is in leaf all year, and the seeds ripen in October. The plant is not self-fertile. Trunk usually indistinct (mostly obscured by branches), slender, solitary (sometimes several arising from base). Branches numerous, spreading with slender trunk, branchlets densely leafy. Leaves bronze-green, dark green, sometimes dark wine-red or bronze-purple, closely spaced, spirally arranged, erect or sub-patent. Family: Podocarpaceae
