Salvia confertiflora - Striking, 1’-2’, velvety reddish-brown spikes are borne mid-Summer to frost. It grows quickly to 4’ or 5’ tall, with stiff, erect side branching off the main stem. Deep green, rugose foliage contrasts nicely with the antique velvet colored spikes and creates a desirable look even when not in bloom.  Family: Lamiaceae
