Senecio pendulus - It is a creeping cactus-like succulent with green stems and showy red flowers. The stems are marbled in a pale green looking like snake skin. The stems arch over and touch the soil where they re-root and send out new stems. If there is a strong light stems often will turn purplish. Individual stems are jointed and brittle, up to 30 cm long up to 2cm in diameter, variable in size and shape, waxy and rough from persistent dried leaf-scales. Leaves are scale-like, 2-18 mm long, withers quickly but remains for a while like a pseudo-thorns.. Family\: Asteraceae
