Sibbaldiopsis tridentata - This perennial wildflower is woody at the base and only 4-10" tall. Leaves are evergreen. Lower leaves attached by stalk about as long as the central leaflet, upper leaves can be stalkless; Upper leaf surface is dark, glossy green, undersides light green; both surfaces covered in sparse hairs. Flower clusters of 3 to 25 blooms open at tips of stem and side branches, with the terminal buds opening first. The small white flowers are 1/3 to a bit over ½ inch across. Family : Rosaceae
