Spiraea japonica Goldflame Perennial plant. noted for the changing colors of its foliage. Leaves emerge bronze-red in spring, mature to yellow-green by summer and finally acquire interesting yellow-orange-copper hues in fall. This is a compact, mounded-to-spreading cultivar that grows to 3-4’ tall with a somewhat irregular habit. Rose pink flowers in flattened corymbs (to 4-6” across) appear in late spring to early summer. rosaceae family
