Syringa vulgaris Aucubaefolia - Broadleaf deciduous shrub, 8-10 ft [2.4-3 m], upright, rounded.  Leaves opposite, simple, irregularly splashed with gold and yellow  variegation. Flowers have deep purple buds open to double or semi-double, fragrant lilac light blue blossoms in upright panicles in early summer which adds interest in the garden long after the blossoms have faded. They make a wonderful cut flower. It is a sport from syringua ‘President Grevy.’ Birds, bees, and hummingbirds all find the flowers attractive. Shrubs will grow 8-10' tall and 6-8' wide. It grows best in a sunny location. Family : Oleaceae
