Photo of Ulmus Frontier (Elm)

Ulmus Frontier - A medium-size tree with an initially ascending, upright pyramidal crown and a good upright central leader with pendulous branch tips. Mature trees have an oval crown and grow to a height of 6 to 10 m. The grey-green bark is smooth. The relatively small leaf is oval to elongated-ovate and glossy dark green. Leaves are reddish when young, turning green in the summer. Foliage turns yellow to red-purple in the fall. In autumn it turns an attractive red to dark wine red. It has a very strong resistance to Dutch elm disease. Height: 10-12 m - Spread: 7-9 m. Family: Ulmaceae
