Vaccinium corymbosum Chippewa a compact upright shrub that typically grows to only 3-4' tall. It tolerates winter temperatures to -40 degrees F. It produces fruit in mid season. Waxy, bell-shaped, white flowers bloom in late spring. Flowers are followed by medium-sized blueberries noted for sweetness and light blue color. Elliptic, medium green leaves (to 3” long) turn attractive shades of yellow orange to red and purple in fall. Ericaceae
