Photo of Abies Eugene’s Gold (Balsam fir conifer)
Abies balsamea Eugene’s Gold conifer A bright yellow needled selection of Balsam fir. Typically one will see a flat to globose specimen. Over time, however, a leader will form, and the plant will become a dwarf tree. The needles are finer and fluffier than those of the species. Typical rate of growth in most areas in 2 to 3 inches (5 – 7.5 cm) a year, speeding up a bit as the plant matures. Family : Pinaceae
