About Aegopodium Variegatum (bishop's weed)

Aegopodium podagraria Variegatum - Also known as Goutweed, this is a popular variegated groundcover that quickly forms a dense, weed-proof carpet, even under difficult growing conditions. It has basal foliage that is light green with creamy white margins. It is less aggressive than the species but plants may revert back to the species with all green leaves and greater vigor. To retain the variegated form, remove any plants that revert. Interesting plant with a decorative foliage. The perfect plant for desesperate area where nothing grows. Be carefull, this is difficult to eradicate once established. Family: Apiaceae
