About Brassica Garnet Giant (chinese mustard lettuce oriental vegetable)

Brassica juncea Garnet Giant - Despite its name, this baby mustard is a favorite for cutting at its dark purple baby stage. At its giant 3' form, plants rival the best of fall color with sun shining off vibrant maroon slightly toothed leaves on gangly bright lime green stems with yellow bolting flowers. Leaves produce their color early in the growing season and retain it through summer. The sweet spicy leaves, stems and flowers were all equally tender and delicious, whether grazed or braised.
