Camellia japonica Daikagura - Normally it is deep pink to carmine rose, blotched white, but in some areas can be cardinal red mottled white. In some strains, it is more nearly white with moired pink. The medium to large blooms are peony form with notched, wavy and re-curved petals.The center of the bloom is an irregular mass of various sized petaloids, mixed with and joined with 4 or 5 groups of stamens.
