Hosta Daybreak P. Aden (R) 1986 a large, wide-spreading, golden-leaved hosta that produces a foliage mound (18-22" tall to 36" wide or more) of thick, heavily-textured, leaves (to 12" long and 8" wide) which emerge chartreuse in spring but mature to golden yellow. Leaves are shiny above with shallow undulate edges, heart-shaped bases, cuspidate tips and 13 pairs of prominent closely-ribbed veins. Lily-like, dark lavender-blue flowers bloom in mid to late summer (August-September) on dark green scapes rising above the foliage mound to 34" tall. Liliaceae
