About Hosta Prairie Moon (Hosta funkia)

Hosta Prairie Moon - (H. Hansen 2007) - This hosta has thick lance-shaped leaves, when immature, that emerge bright yellow in spring and hold the color well all season. Unlike many yellow hostas which either start out green in spring or turn green in summer, this one retains its yellow foliage from start to finish. Leaves become more heart-shaped as the clump matures. Best leaf color occurs when grown in some bright sun. Pale lavender flowers appear in August. (Mature Size: 16"T x 30"W). Family:  Liliaceae
