Hosta Solar Flare (Henry Ross 1989) an extremely large hosta that was patented in 1989; propagation for re-sale was prohibited until Oct. 10, 2006. This hosta is chartreuse early, turning to bright gold by mid-summer. Slightly rippled margins and good substance help make this hosta a great specimen. Soft lavender flowers bloom in early June to late July on 36-inch scapes.. Liliaceae
