Photo of Malus Fameuse (Apple tree)
Malus domestica Fameuse - La Fameuse was one of the main apples cultivated in Quebec and in the northern states of New England in the USA until the end of the 1800s (from that moment it was McIntosh that took its place). In addition, the McIntosh would probably result from a glitch of Fameuse. Tender, spicy and snow white flesh. Excellent for fresh eating, cider or desserts. Excellent disease resistance. Cross-pollination is required. Family : Rosaceae
