Photo of Paeonia Minnie Shaylor (Peony)
Paeonia lactiflora Minnie Shaylor - (Shaylor, 1919) - Semi-double flower; large, numerous white petals form a fluffy cushion around the small center of yellow stamens. Center accented by the reddish carpels. Semi-double, midseason. Tall plant, with flowers of light pink, turning to pristine white. Long, wavy petals, with frills and ruffles like a fine evening gown, and a center of golden yellow. Medium height bush has dense foliage for a great look in border plantings or by itself. Flowers set close to the bush and the bush holds together well in adverse weather. 33" tall, lactiflora. Award of Landscape Merit 2009. Family: Paeoniaceae
