Photo of Picea pungens Glauca Pendula (Serbian spruce Mountain Spruce conifer)
Picea pungens Glauca Pendula - Perennial plant - It is a vigorous, irregular weeping or creeping selection of Colorado spruce with bright silvery-Blue colored, sickle shaped needles, especially in early spring and summer. A specimen will grow only as tall is it's final staked height. From that point, the terminals will "knuckle over," sprawling in all directions. Since ultimate height is determined by culture, note that this strongly growing conifer will extend from the terminal buds at a rate exceeding 12 inches (30 cm) per year creating a massive specimen in the landscape in pretty short order. Family : Pinaceae
