Photo of Pieris Passion Party aka Pink Frost (Pieris)
Pieris japonica Passion Party aka Pink Frost - Its evergreen, lance-shaped leaves are a variegated creamy white to soft buttery yellow surrounding blue-green centers. During the winter months abundant clusters of decorative deep red buds in pendant racemes form at almost every branch tip. Then, in early to mid spring these buds open to chains of lily-of-the-valley-like, urn-shaped, downward facing, deep rosy-red flowers that have a light fragrance. Just after flowering new leaves emerge a bronze-red color aging to the variegated white and green. At 4 to 5 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. Other Common Name: Ralto Pieris. Family: Ericaceae
