Prunus virginiana Canada Red - green leaves in the spring, which turn dark purple by mid-summer. Leaves are up to 3” long and half as wide. Small white flowers in hanging clusters 3-5" long are produced in May. The edible fruits are small, reddish-purple, and relished by birds. Family : Rosaceae
