Rheum officinale - A PERENNIAL growing to 2 m (6ft) by 1.5 m (5ft). They have upright growing stems and mostly basal, deciduous leaves growing from short, thick rhizomes. The inflorescences are terminal and panicle-like with pedicels. The flowers consist of a whitish green to pinkish green, hairless and campanulate perianth, composed of six tepals. Only leaf stems are edible. Family : Polygonaceae
