About Solanum Jaune Flammée (Tomato vegetable - tomate)

Solanum lycopersicum Jaune Flammée - Tomato vegetable - tomate - This old French variety is a fabulous fresh-eating tomato with an explosive, intense flavour that shines through any salad dressing with ease. The outer walls are thick and meaty, with just enough juice to provide a full-bodied, citrus-like flavour. The yellow-orange skin yields to beautiful red-mottled flesh inside. Plants are very productive with multitudes of apricot-shaped tomatoes hanging in neat clusters. Fruits average 57-85 g (2-3 oz) each and are 4-5 cm (1½- 2″) round. Indeterminate; vines can reach 2.4 m (8′) long. Family : Solanaceae
